Hello, Coastal Bend! Today we're talking about the Keach Family Library, one of three branches of the Nueces County Public Library system.
The Keach Family Library is located in the center of Nueces County at 1000 Terry Shamsie Boulevard in Robstown, Texas, near the entrance of the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds.
It offers learning opportunities through books and computer use. The library also features a children's reading space called "Pop Pop's Place," computer workstations with high-speed internet access, study rooms, public meeting rooms, and an outdoor deck overlooking a wetland pond and a baseball stadium.
The library offers plenty of activities such as storytime with Mr. Kippy and adult literacy classes that are funded by the State of Texas. The library also hosts many community events such as Chidren's Day, Dia del Los Ninos, and holiday celebrations.
Fun fact: the Keach Family Library is named after five generations of Fore-Keach family who dedicated their lives to enhancing the community's education and service goals.
